ARE YOU READY FOR SOME  JFL Richwoods Knights 2008 Football Season Updated , September 14, 2008 SEPTEMBER 14TH'S  VARSITY AND SENIOR GAMES HAS BEEN CANCELLED!   Our program is in need of sponsors for each of our teams. We need your assistance in identifying sponsors for our program. Appropriate sponsorship in conjunction with other fundraising activities will wnable our program to maintain an above average level of equipment (helments, shoulder pads, thigh pads, knee pads, etc.) maintanance. (Squirts/ PeeWees/Junior Varsity/Varsity/Seniors) Tackle Football Ages 8-14 Important Dates   July 12th - Richwoods sign-ups 9am-12noon. July 19th - Arena Football with Peoria Pirates July 23rd - League mandatory tackle FUNDRAISER KICKOFF meeting at 7:00PM at the JFL office.  (We need 1 volunteer   per team to assist with this endeavor). July 28th - Officials cookout at JFL office. August 04 - Non-contact tackle practice begins. No pads.  Cheer practice starts.  (FUNDRAISER SALES BEGIN!) August 12 - Coaches clinic forms due in JFL office. August 17 - Coaches clinic at Bradley University. August 18 - Contact practice begins. August 18 - Number of teams & divisional alignment forms due to JFL office. August 21 - Tackle and Cheer fundraiser forms due back to area Director. August 26 - Tackle and Cheer fundraiser forms due to JFL office. August 30, 31, & Sept. 1 - Labor Day Tournaments at Dunlap (PW&JV), and Pekin (SQ/VR/SR). Sept. 3 - Coaches validation make-up.  Special penalties apply to coaches who have missed consecutive coaches clinics. Sept. 6 - First weekend of Games - Saturday - Squirts, PeeWee, & Junior Varsity. Sept. 7 - First weekend of Games - Sunday - Varsity & Senior. Sept. 15 - Tackle and Cheerleader Fundraiser Product delivery begins this week. Times TBA.   We need volunteers for field setup, clock keepers, chains, concession, and field cleanup following all 4 games   We also need donated items such as Soda, candy bars, individually wrapped treats, baked gooda, doughnuts, chips,  ring pops, M &M's, hot dogs, buns etc. Please bring items to the concession stand by Thursday night before game day...   We are still in need of sponsorships...
